Upper Canada Consultants on behalf of 1435587 Ontario Inc. proposes to rezone and redesignate 1 Griffith Street to permit a 12-storey residential building with 144 dwelling units. Site-specific requests include no ground-floor commercial, reduced setbacks, and parking adjustments. Virtual/in-person public information meeting Nov. 4, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Civic Square Council Chambers. Statutory public hearing to follow at a later date.

2026 Pavement Rejuvenation Program
Welland is resurfacing and sealing listed local streets, including sections of Golden Boulevard, Scholfield Avenue, Crowland Avenue, Welland Street, McAlpine Avenue, White Avenue, Price Avenue, Ross Street, and Parkway. Walker Construction Limited is the contractor. Work was tentatively scheduled to start the week of September 28, 2026, with temporary road and intersection closures signed on site.
