Thorold closed Sullivan Avenue from Towpath Street to Front Street on Friday, October 2, 2026, for about three weeks while the contractor continues downtown underground replacement and road reconstruction. The closure affects on-street parking and one entrance to Parking Lot 1 and the Thorold Community Credit Union lot; both lots stay open from alternate entrances, with detour signs in place.
The City’s October 2, 2026 traffic notice says Clement Place is closed from Crestcombe Road to Ridley Heights Drive for contractor work. The notice does not give a reopening time.
